The Duo Media Production Process
Duo Media offer services covering all aspects of video making, producing quality videos for projects of all sizes; from planning and filming, right through to delivery. While some projects may be relatively straight-forward, most follow a linear production process:
Pre-Production
Before the cameras start rolling we go through a pre-production process to and plan the project to ensure that your video is the best it can be. This may include 'storyboarding' where images are created of shots and sequences that will be needed in the video. We also plan the film shoot, organising such things as locations and equipment that may be required.
Production
Filming
Duo Media offer single and multi-camera shoots using industry level cameras. We also use Sennheiser wired and wireless microphones and a full lighting kit.
Hayden Campbell is Duo's principal cameraman. Hayden has filmed for TV2 and TV3 and has had his own documentary 'The Zoo' screened at film festivals throughout the world. He over-sees the film shoots.
Writing, Voice-over Recording
Duo Media use professional writers and voice-over artists to produce top quality videos. View more in the 'About Us' section. Duo also has a sound recording studio where voice-overs can be recorded.
Music Creation
Duo can supplement your video with an original soundtrack. Duo Media produces its own music and has access to accomplished musicians.
3D Animations and Motion Graphics
As well as video footage, Duo Media can incorporate photos, graphs and other media into your video. Duo Media also offers 3D animation and motion graphic services. View a sample of Duo's motion graphics.
Post-Production
Editing
Once the footage has been captured, Duo can edit it together using the Final Cut Studio editing suite. The editing process is a time to add panache and style to your video.
Output and Delivery
There are many options to get your videos to your target audience:
DVD
Cost-effective and accessible, DVDs are an excellent option. We can create personalised DVDs for your to distribute to the public, your staff, your clients - anyone and everyone. DVDs offer more than simple delivery of video. Duo can put computer files, such as Word documents, images or PDFs which can be accessed through a computer. This is a great way of people being able to access order forms and inventory lists, as well as manuals, work books a FAQs. Duo Media can produce NTSC versions of your DVD if they are going to be viewed overseas in such places as the USA or Japan. We can also arrange large scale duplication runs at competitive prices. Duo Media also offers print design services for DVD slicks and stickers.

Your website

Businesses and people are embracing 'Social networking' as it is a great way of getting your name out there... Duo can provide you with videos in a format ready for you to upload to such sites, or we can take care of the whole process for you.
Video Hosting
Duo Media can host your video for you. While YouTube is prevelant and free, it does come with some quality issues. Duo Media hosted videos are of a high quality than free sites, plus you can have it the size you want and without any watermarks or other add-ons.
Computer Files (for presentations)
If you are displaying your video on a projector or on a computer as a presentation, you want to be able to access your video on your computer. You may want to embed your video in a PowerPoint presentation, Duo can provide your video in a suitable format enabling you to do this.
